Can there not be some manner of device permanent or temporary to slow traffic on Inverary. Each day I witness 20 to 30 cars clearly exceeding a safe neighborhood speed. From the intersections of Norwich to the east to Glasgow at the west there is not a single traffic control device or sign.
Recently on a neighboring street, (Brisbane) the city placed the trailer mounted speed device, but placed it within 200 ft. of a stop sign. (a speed control device on its own) now how effective is that. Bring it, and a stop sign to my street before a neighborhood child is hurt or killed.

Welcome to the neighborhood GoOse!
Our neighborhood has been aware of traffic concerns throughout the neighborhood and have had several meetings and discussions with the city.
Here is the summary of what has been done and what does and doesn't work in trying to address these frustrating issues. http://www.averillwoods.org/traffic-concerns.html.
We will make a request for a the LPD speed recording trailer to be placed there for a while to remind people to slow down!
Can you also contact us http://www.averillwoods.org/contact-us.html to give us the address of the chunk of sidewalk missing on Christine so we can also advocate for the fix? Thanks! Melissa at AverillWoods.org
I would also invite folks to attend our next neighborhood meeting on Thursday January 23rd, 7 pm. Location is still being determined and will be noted on the website. Thanks for patience!

Traffic data on Inverary indicate 85th percentile speeds (the speed at which 85% of the traffic is traveling at or below) of 31 mph east of Sunderland and 33 mph west of Sunderland. The speeds west of Sunderland are near the upper end of what is typical for a residential street, but below the City's standards for traffic calming. The City will place its radar speed trailer, which is coordinated with additional police enforcement, on Inverary near Sunderland this spring/summer.

Thank you for the helpful data Andy! We'll look forward to seeing the speed trailer sometime after the thaw!
Also, do you have information to clarify traffic calming priorities? My understanding was at this point there was still a moratorium on traffic calming until we are able to fund a systematic study to identify where it is needed and won't adversely impact nearby areas.
Thanks!
