Each time we receive a complaint we respond, send a notice and they momentarily correct the violation. The normal course of action at this point would be an in house hearing and then Housing Court but both are unavailable options at this time. I can however fine them daily.
As of yesterday they now have a tent and they are removing engines from cars. Its blatantly obvious they are using this property for more than just their own personal vehicle repair.
I cited them for the engine and other car parts in the driveway. I will refer this to the Building Dept. as well as they seem to be operating as an auto body repair shop.
Curious what the answer is on the last question of = "Will there be an Inspector paying daily/weekly visits as the ordinances do specify "daily Fines" ?

Does the black covering on their fence now make them exempt as the repair shop, engine lift, car parts and stacks of tires can sorta be seen from a distance or if you're less than 4 feet tall?
Someone from the Building Department has been out there with regards to the repairing of vehicles. I issued another citation for the debris along the fence.
This whole situation boils down to 1 thing.... RESPECT.

The owner probably won't read your post regarding RESPECT. Print it out and mail it to the address. Does anyone know if they purchased that home or if they are renting it?
My notices go directly to the home, in the name of the owner. Nothing has been returned. If it is rental then the owner may not know what is going on. Not sure what is posted on the mailbox.
Maybe Lisa can print it out and mail it / drop it off with the next citation.

I've advocated for a compliance officer for years. It finally just passed and awaits the mayor to fill the position. You probably already are but continue to take pictures of all new activity. It will help. I regards to the original complaint, has the PD confirmed it's unregistered? I understand your frustration for how long it's taking, as I have two illegal garages in my ward that I have been pursuing for over a year. Please show the same respect you want from your neighbor towards Lisa. She is only one person with over 500 SCF's to deal with.

Your councilor is probably the only other councilor that utilizes SCF like I do. Not sure why he's not responding, possible he's not getting the updates. He's on the problems properties committee with me so I know he cares. As far as responses to general questions you're pretty much stuck with me.
