Description

So the recent posting of permit parking-only signs at the very end of Broad Street — done in response to lots of people parking alongside Seaside Park and hanging out there and urinating in public — has only led people to move a block north and do the same, including urinating on Broad Street homes.

I also saw this group congregating yesterday. It grew larger as the day went on. By the evening there were at least 10-15 people congregating on the sidewalk. I walked out of my home on broad street and found one of the men urinating in the corner of my house. My home is not a public urinal. The group also left behind heaps of empty bottles and trash. Disgusting and disrespectful.

Thank you for reporting the issue to the City of Bridgeport. You must contact the Police Department - Dispatch at 203-576-7671 at the time the incident is happening and report it. This information will be reported the city's Health Department notifying them of people urinating in public and on private property.

So telling people to call the PD (waste of time and obvi) kinda defeats the purpose of this app, no?! We’re not stupid.
So the point here is that the city’s placing “permit only” parking signs on Broad Street has only led people to move closer to residences to the north to party and pee.
How would the Health Department handle this issue?

With the school going up across the street I can’t imagine people hanging out drinking, drugs and urinating so close to school property should be tolerated. .. let alone our properties .
