Description
Not that I have much hope at this point, but for completeness sake this time I'm trying a more clear illustration of the problem that has been repeatedly reported here on SCF and to 311 and via direct calls to DMD sign inspection.
I hope this photo helps illustrate the problem, or at least serves as viral clickbait.
Bike trail underpass detour beneath Carlisle, at Cutler. Sends bikes the wrong way down a one way street. This is the 13th day this detour has been in place, unfixed, despite repeated complaints.

Advantage can only provide proper detour here being the bike trail is closed for electrical work and boom trucks are blocking the trail. Advantage will see if they can provide accessible entry and exit through the one-way this is also a private road and MUTCD restricts detour to though private road. The bike trail must remain closed for safety. Citizen can contact the office and speak to my supervisor for a better conclusion. The detour is adequate better than proving through an arterial road with no dedicated bike lane. the private road is 100' or so... After reviewing traffic for a long period of time there is not too many vehicles proceeding through this private road. I requestedI40 RAMP From CUTLER To I40 RAMP--2020034347EXC

If this must continue, then, can I suggest putting a barricade on Carlisle and detouring the cars around the block so cyclists can safely use the bridge?
I twice encountered cars using the bridge when I was trying to properly follow the detour. Today, in the few minutes I spent stopped talking to you on the phone, four cars used the bridge.

Good to see some dialogue on this. Thanks.
While chance of driver non-compliance putting users at great risk heading the "wrong way" continues to be scary, there's also the problem of what westbound users are supposed to do when, hopefully before being struck, they get to Carlisle. In short: What are they supposed to do then, if they need to get, as they have always previously done, to the North Diversion Channel Trail (NDC)?
It's important to always remember that these are not simply "recreational" trails and that many use the entire length of Embudo Trail from NDC to Washington to get to work, home, etc. The closure plan, at present, is both dangerous and inadequate in meeting the needs of the many who use it. The results reflect an indifference to these users, as does the lack of public notice/warning about the closure and unwillingness to have such work done solely at night, when impact would be far less..
Let's face it, if a driving closure included no public warning and led drivers the wrong way on a one-way street, that work would be stopped immediately, hopefully before somebody got killed. But we're talking cyclists/walkers here, so who cares?
Whether that unfortunate sentiment is actually held by the City Parks & Recreation Department or not, this is the only perception possible with such a lousy closure "plan." That such a perception coincides with a time of unprecedented usage of multi-use trails citywide is even more unfortunate. We can do better. Much better.

"Advantage has done everything necessary to keep the bicyclist away from vehicular traffic on private one-way see pictures attached with recent maintain.
Its either using the separated devices or Indian School last dedicated bike lane. that is 2 mile or so radius"
