street light needs to be replaced. blinks. will not stay lit.
There are a dozen lights within two blocks of this one that are the same.
And as long as we have the utility crews in the area, it's about time all the doubled utility poles got cleaned up. These are poles where a new one was installed but one or two wires remain attached to the old pole, so it's still in place. Some of these have been like this for three or four years. It's unsightly, and the jury-rigged way the old ones are held in place suggests some may be in danger of falling down in a stiff breeze.
Can't we force the laggard utilities to come and move their wires so UI can remove the old poles? Are there no state or city regulations governing this?
City called me this morning. Needed the pole #4582.
The City owns and maintains all the street lights in New Haven. not UI. Call the city at 946-6091 or use the city's web311 service @ http://www.cityofnewhaven.com/Ask/index.asp
