You see this kind of thing all over the city. even business's from other towns, and anyone who has something to sell or say. it's on everything, poles, trees, boxes, parking meters, bus shelters, ect. So much litter, and the city does nothing about it. There must be laws about littering and defacing public property that carry fines. These posting have names, address's and phone #'s. If fines were issued you'd probably see a lot less of it. And at the same time help the city budget. Residents could help a lot. While walking, take something down / pick something up. It could go a long way towards cleaning up the city.

Not clear what action if any was taken on this. Some unnamed "verified official" of the City of New Haven reclassified this as a "Policing Issue." I'm not sure that it is nor what has happened end. So this issue remains open.

Thank you for the constructive dialogue regarding this issue. I certainly recall it was quite the epidemic 6 years ago. I have not seen this in some time and am going to go ahead and close this issue. Thank you for your help in this matter.
