Every single night people put on senseless firework displays. I’m not going to drone on about just how awful fireworks are because I know for a fact many people have complained and called the non emergency line to complain. I want to know how this has been allowed to go on for over a month with no stopping. Get that there are much larger problems in the world right now but I can’t sleep, with all this world issues I get scared every time I hear one and I’m @#$% off that so many people have complained and there seems to be nothing done about it. 7 pm tonight the fireworks started in Washington park. Then 7 they started a few blocks behind Central, maybe the Clinton area. From 8 until now and going forward, they are coming directly from central or 1 block over, and they’re firing back and forth with the Clinton people. I’ve personally called APD to complain tonight but as we all know that has proved to not work in the past. This needs to end. It’s creating an incredibly hostile living situation for many people in an already heated and hostile environment with the pandemic and the BLM movement. Maybe instead of standing in front of protesters in riot gear, APD could send more officers out to patrol this area at night, watch out for fireworks and stop this madness.
