Description
I am requesting speed bumps be installed on Miller Ave, both between Magnolia and Locust, as well as Magnolia and Spruce. The hills are used as a drag strip where people show off their cars and motorcycles. This is incredibly obnoxious and unsafe. UPS and the USPS double park on this street, as well as others. If someone were to go around these vehicles at the same time someone is flying up the street, a head on collision is likely to happen. You can’t see what’s on top of the hill until you’re actually at the top. It’s only a matter of time.

The Traffic Advisory Committee (TAC) discussed and reviewed your request to install speed cushions on Miller Avenue between Locust Avenue and Spruce Avenue at its June 24, 2020 meeting.
Since Miller Avenue is classified as a minor arterial road, your request was not approved. The installation of speed cushions on Miller Avenue could divert speeding traffic onto local, neighboring streets, which these smaller streets don’t have the capacity to handle the increased in traffic and volume. If you or any other residents observe vehicles speeding, please contact our Police Department (650) 877-8900 for proper enforcement.
If you have any questions, please contact the Traffic Advisory Committee via email using tac@ssf.net or calling (650) 829-6652. Thank you for your interest in traffic safety.
Sincerely,
Traffic Advisory Committee
