Description
Can the 22 Bus stop at Clark be moved back to its original spot? It has moved south to 4048 N Clark.
I own a townhome at 4046 N Clark St - Unit B. Historically, the CTA buses used to park & idle further north on Clark St near the old (& now vacant) White Hen Pantry / 7-Eleven building. Now, they park and idle near the BP gas station 24/7.
I realize and acknowledge that the buses needed a place to stage since it's the north end of the Ashland Ave route; however, the idling buses are a noise and pollution nuisance especially now that it's nice weather to have windows open.
With the bus stop moved, the buses are now parking further south, so they can be close to the BP station to purchase food/drinks and/or use the restroom whereas the 7-Eleven used to be their destination. The parking of the buses along Clark St is fine. I just wish/request they would just turn off their engines and comply with the no idling rules that Cubs charter buses must comply with.
