Description

Now that the traffic signals have been programmed to include a double loop for the walk light in the name of COVID touchless activation, the severity and frequency of motor vehicles running through red lights has reached an epidemic. As walked past the Parks & Recreation office, their automatic driveway gate struck me as an ideal solution for installation in the city. Not sure what the costs would be but likely far less than a lawsuit from the estate of a person killed because of the way the City has chosen to further mismanage all forms of traffic. Once the light turns red the arm would come down and should it smash down on a passing vehicle odds are quite high that the motorist broke the law. We do still have regard for motor vehicle laws, don’t we?
