I find I am watching out for potholes more than I am watching traffic or for pedestrians or bikes. Between the potholes, the single lane of traffic just south of 42nd, and the chaos of vehicles and pedestrians during school release in front of Roosevelt, the run between Minnehaha Parkway and 40th Street is nervewracking! I'm exhausted by time I get home.

I agree, the pothole problem on 28th Avenue is really serious, especially just south of 42nd St. I no longer drive on it - the road is too narrow to avoid the potholes, and the potholes are deep enough to do a lot of damage.

The potholes are a serious problem, and the narrowness of the road on 28th Ave. at 42th Street is also a challenge. As a snow emergency route there is parking on both sides of the street, and one car can barely get through at a time. Any possibility of bringing in some equipment to haul away some of the snow and widen the road? I imagine this is a safety issue because I'm not sure fire trucks and ambulances could get through very easily.

We have submitted a service request to our Street Department. Your reference number is 538643. Between November and April, a temporary patch is applied followed by a permanent repair during the Spring.

I agree with Tim. Many potholes and the street is very narrow at parts causing more problems with people driving into potholes

And almost worse is the narrowness of the road - cars can only barely pass each other safely going opposite directions. Maybe the city could remove some of the snow along the sides.

Agreed. Contacted CM Colvin Roy's office about dangerous potholes on 28th Ave between 42nd & 46th Sts with no reply. These need to be addressed by the city ASAP. Thank you!
