I second this. They fly down Burr street inches from kids getting in and out of cars to go to St. Bernadette School.

The speeding all around East Shore/Morris Cove is so frequent, it makes me wonder if the scheduled bus stop times are unreasonable for a driver to really meet. Is this why they speed?

I agree. It's the busses, the trucks that want to avoid the curves on Townsend, and everyone else and their uncles speeding down Concord. We have kids that live here? Is it going to take one of them being hurt for the problem to be solved?

Agreed. The stop sign at Parker and Concord is frequently ignored. There are young people flying through, but i have to say that a lot of the time it's adults in the morning or middle of the day.

It's everyone. Including buses Anthony' delivery trucks adults beach goers in the summer. Needs a permanent solution.

PLEASE you need to report this to the CT Transit website so it is logged in Hartford as well. asking will get u no where. need numbers and times or nothing will change... from experience

CTTransit, I am home all day. No one is monitoring the situation. I have never seen anyone here in the year I have been here. They are all speeding. All of them. I will take numbers down but a supervisor needs to show up. As I said, no one has been here. And it is ridiculous. This is a neighborhood not a speedway.

Supervisor who recently monitored that street stated, of the five or so buses observed, no buses were speeding but he contacted each Operator and told them to go slow. We'll continue to have supervisors monitoring this street periodically, at various times throughout the day. Some slowing down during day. Still speeding all night. Blow right thru stop sign. Ct complaints daily not taking care of issue.

Bus flying down Burr street toward Townsend this evening at 5pm. Unfortunately, I could not see the bus #. Way, way too fast, guys.

Oh and ct transit. Your supervisor sat where all the buses could see him and then honked his horn at the buses as they drove by. And no one here after 5. You didn't help AT ALL.

Lots of pointing fingers on ths between ct transit and Nhpd. I have called Angel the supervisor at least twice and officer Anastasio is well aware. No one is doing anything. I have written T least 50 complaint forms with bus numbers to ct transit. Still speeding. I guess someone needs to get hurt first. At least it will be well documented that we gave them heads up several times. In the end anyone who sues will have a pot of gold to access at the costs of taxpayers. Jeez.

Yesterday I was behind a bus on Townsend at 3:20 pm, and it FLEW past Nathan Hale, a 25 mph zone, at 45 mph. It then turned to go to Concord St, and went 40 mph all the way down. I live on Concord and was following it to my house. This is absurd. The busses are going to kill someone at this rate. The police tell us to report to CT transit, and CT transit says the police need to write the busses tickets. CT Transit needs to hold their drivers accountable BEFORE it gets to the point that police should be involved.
