Description
Invasive plant species growing in and around ground cover by MCC and Jr. League. See attached photo. Park Maintenance should really try to eradicate this species entirely. Their stems have invisible, microspikes that are rather painful, and for the youngters from MCC who hang around that area, this is just a disaster waiting to happen. Please ask your crew to wear gloves when cleaning out these plants!

Thanks for reporting through ACT Menlo Park.
Our current priority for Shelter-in-place is the removal of tall dry weeds though out the entire city. We will be working towards the more detailed weeding in the parks as time allows. Thank you again for letting us know about the lilly seeds hidden in the thick ivy areas.
Luckily the MCC remains closed, and will for the near future. Until we are able to find and trim down the lilly seeds, please keep your children out of the ivy, and other areas throughout the City where weeds may exist.
