Description

What is with all of the heavy truck traffic on erie road? Are they dodging the police" over loads"? Do they have to drive so fast?

It is out of control. Highway construction & DeMilta truckers race down the road from 6am 'til dark.. It is a 25 MPH zone...ignored!. There is a "NO ENEGINE BRAKE" sign in a tree lawn on the road. Truckers snub their nose at that. I had the police come out this summer, but they don't know what Jake-Brakes are. Every window in the house rattles when they down-shift. Erie Road is not a State Route...which means there is a weight limit. I'm sure DeMilta greases pockets. How else can they spill overloads everyday all over the street in Eastlake and get away with it? A truck is going to have to mow down a child before this is recognized as a problem...and it will happen.

It looks and sounds to me that good ole boy's Chuck and Jack are the one's with the problem. They need to maybe drink a beer, stop and try to remember what came first, the chicken or the egg. Why don't the two of you just go down to the DeMilta yard and talk with the owners, i'm sure you will be suprised how easy a solution can come to y'all...

the trucks ARE NOT De Milta trucks they are over the road variety and material that they dont carry.These trucks are over forty feet long.When i walk my dog I will check

Isn't this road the most direct route to the industrial park and several factories on the road, as well as the road that takes one directly into the electrical generating plant? If I had a semi I needed to get to Chagrin Lagoons area, I'd choose this route over 91, Reeves or Lost Nation. Fewer or more easily negotiated turns. NIMBY?

nimby ? SPEAK ENGLISH If your speeding truck kills one of my children what next? Your jail term will not bring them back.From what I am told semi trucks took RT 91 to lakeshore,If it costs you too much time get another job.

NIMBY means "Not In My Back Yard". And I'm NOT a truck driver. I grew up at one of the most dangerous inteersecitnos in Cuyahoga County. My parents taught us not to play in the street....
