Description

As we all know, thousands of people walk along the Carriage Road every day, walking, running... and more. The protected footpath west of where this elderly woman is exiting extends to Walnut St., but when people are heading west, they are in close encounter with drivers heading south to Comm Ave. This is extremely dangerous. A formal pedestrian footpath here would visually protect all of us who walk here, in the dark, in the light, in the spring, and summer. While many drivers know this section, many drivers do not, particularly contractors and others who are not very local. They have no idea to expect pedestrians to exit from the right (the east).
