I own the home at 26 Landon Lane and the property at 28 Landon Lane and can confirm that the canal referenced above has not been maintained in many years. The fallen tree behind my house came down in Hurricaine Matthew and is leaning against a pine. This canal borders the Wilmington Island Country Club owned by O.C. Welch. I feel sure Mr. Welch would agree to give the county access to bring equipment in to adress the much needed maintenance. Thank you.
Please have your people STOP what they are doing! It is only making the situation worse! They are cutting the vegetation halfway down and leaving it in the ditch. The ditch is more clogged now than it was before. Do you need equipment to dig the ditch out from the roots, and remove the large trees that are in there.
I appreciate the work done recently behind my property at 22 Landon Ln, with the removal of the dead trees. The issue still remains with the clogged storm drainage ditch. When will you be addressing this?
