Description

North and southbound Lowell St, no speed tables or other traffic calming was installed per community requests between 53rd and 55th Streets as part of the recent paving project. This is still needed for these two blocks as they are wide and encourage fast car traffic.

If the street is determined to be too wide for speed tables then bike lanes should be installed between 53rd and 55th in both directions instead, to visually narrow the wide travel lanes and encourage slower speeds.
