Description
flooding occurs during storms where the street sewers do not contain water and no berms built up to stop water... water runs down driveways at 147, 149 Maple St. , floods garages, and then floods basements, heater rooms creating a hazard caused by Town sewer water. Director of DPW, Town Engineer reviewed last year and no improvements completed.

If a meeting is scheduled to address this issue I would like to be a part of it.
It’s frustrating that part of Maple Street had granite curbs installed toward Great Plain Avenue where storm water management is not an issue. The rest of the street is slopes away from Great Plain with very few sewers to contain water flow. Several times we have had water so deep on the street that it runs down our driveway and into our basement, similar to what the author of this post had happen.
This is a residential area that is now a major cut through for people avoiding the new lights at the train crossing. It would be great to see some improvements to Maple Street to accommodate the storm water and increase in traffic.
