There is no delay between the walk light turning to solid red and the traffic light turning to green. Pedestrians (myself included) are already in the crosswalk as cars turning onto Broad Street go through the light. Will contact Lynn City Hall.

Pedestrians should start walking on white and there is sufficient time for them to complete their walk during the flashing red. They're not supposed to start walking if the light is already flashing and race the system. They should wait for the next cycle. Its not the light as much as peoples understanding apparently.

Appreciate the comment, but most people walk both crosswalks between the college and Central Square. There was enough time to cross both safely before the new light was installed. Also, every other walk light I've seen has a delay between going to solid red and the corresponding traffic light turning green.

I have also reported this to the City of Lynn/Public Works.

The cities not Burger King, just because they haven't made it your way doesnt mean you can keep this open forever
