Description

West Hargett Street Area from Saint Mary's Street to South West Street is unsafe for pedestrians. The sidewalks are overgrown in areas and very dark. Trees are blocking the streetlights. Green re-cycling bins were thrown on the sidewalk and i couldn't see them until a near crash. North side across from Brewpub is dark with overgrowth bordered by homeless sleeping area. Then the giant mud puddle, railroad tracks and the Citrix building site. I crossed over onto the dark rutted dirt path near the concrete plant, then heard the train coming. There are lots of runners, walkers and bikers in this area. There has been minimal effort by the city to do anything. Are there any plans to clean up this area?
