I live up-hill from this problem, nearly at the top, and even for residents "up-hill" the drainage issue and road conditions are very poor year round. Most notably, in the winters, the road ices over due to lack of drainage. From late November to the spring thaw, one can count on encountering a road-encompassing ice patch. I just lay off the brakes, grip tight the wheel and pray each day as I cross it. This horrible winter has only exasperated the problem. I for one do not look forward to the conditions of this road in spring. The road is eroding. This fall the pot holes were deep and widespread. The land on the sides of the road is eroding away. This road needs a permanent solution. The cold patches never last more than a few weeks, the drainage has never worked, and water and ice build up continues to deteriorate the road (and damage vehicles). But my biggest fear is the road is becoming impassable by emergency vehicles. Will a fire truck be able to reach a home under these conditions? I pray it will.

This road is poorly maintained and needs to be closed. I can't imagine an emergency vehicle going on this road. See the photo to see what you think.
