North Avenue has been in absolutely horrible, 3rd-world like status for months/years, so finally during a street project you take forever to work on stadium drive, and inexplicably repave roads that didn't even need it (like all of n Main and s Main) yet only patch the terrible North Ave? What in the world is going on???

North Avenue and Wingate Street are both maintained by NCDOT, as well as Stadium Drive. The Town applied for funding to improve and widen Stadium Drive which was a complete widening project as well as adding Multi-Use path and sidewalk all the way to Capital Boulevard while maintaining traffic.
Due to funding issues, NCDOT opted to only patch North Avenue and Wingate Street. This was not performed or affiliated with the Town of Wake Forest. If you have any additional questions, you can contact NCDOT at (919) 220-4600.
