الوصف

Standing water is a constant issue at the corner of 17th Ave NE and Beach Drive NE. For the past few days water has been draining from a construction site. Since there is nowhere for it to drain, it has pooled and is stagnant for several blocks. Mold (?) is now growing on the bricks and the deep and ever-growing puddle of water is 1/2 way into the street.

Q. What flooding problem are you reporting? (choose one of the following)
A. Roadway Flooding
Q. Describe the location of the flooding (where and approximately how deep was the flood water?)
A. 1/2 way into 17th ave NE at the corner of Beach Drive. At least a few inches deep. Stagnant, growing mold, mosquitos, smells
Q. How long did the flooding last? Please provide the date(s) and time(s)
A. The past three or four days at least (July 10 - current) and getting worse
Q. Has flooding occurred at this location at other times in the past? If so, how frequently?
A. Yes. It always floods with rain. In this case it is constant and is not dissipating because of the draining of a lot on 17th Ave NE
Q. Please provide any additional comments or information, such as if this event was caused by severe weather or tidal activity? Was there movement to the flood water? Was the flooded area close to a storm drain? If known, please provide the finished floor elevation of your home as well as any other property-related details.
A. There is no storm drain at all. Flooding is caused by heavy rain normally, but currently it is because of draining. No movement to water.
