  What is the status of the city's purchase of lights from National Grid? This is a major safety concern, and 14 business days could be as long as three weeks when you include weekends. What exactly are we getting for our tax dollars when we can't even, literally, keep the lights on?

  The city's Law Department has reviewed the necessary contract documents relative to the purchase of the lights and forwarded them to National Grid. Presently, the city is awaiting a response from National Grid to forward the process of purchasing the lights.

  In terms of the request for street light repairs, National Grid sent a new notification on December 11th with a work order number of 16218401 with a timetable of 7-10 business days for completion.
