Description
At rush hour, the eastbound traffic on MacArthur Blvd is constantly backed up, meaning that cars turning left from Broadway or from Howe onto MacArthur are waiting for unreasonable lengths of time. I was on the 57, and was stuck on Broadway between 40th and MacArthur for 20 minutes (at least 10 light cycles) before the bus driver finally just went down Broadway to take a left on PIedmont Ave and then a right onto MacArthur.

As a neighbor, I totally agree that these lights need to be timed properly - and ALL intersections around the new Kaiser hospital would benefit from a timing study.
Also keep in mind that the traffic along this segment of Broadway will be greatly improved once the segment of MacArthur from Broadway to Piedmont is turned back into a 3 lane street, AND the traffic bump outs will be activated as bus stops.
