Property owners Chip Rohrer (9115 Ewell St.) and John Suarez (9200 Battle St.) requested that I (David Ek) meet them on site to discuss flooding and drainage problems that they repeatedly have within the last couple of years (that never used to be a problem). I walked Ewell and Battle streets with them and they showed me the location of the problems. It appears that current storm drains and ditches are undersized to handle normal heavy rains, and as such, the water pools up, floods, and takes alternative routes. I will map these potentially problem areas and discuss potential fixes, costs, and priorities.
