Thank you for your inquiry.
The traffic signal has been inspected and evaluated and determined to be operating as intended without errors. Please note that the traffic signals are programmed to show the “walk” pedestrian signal head concurrent to the green “go” cycle on the adjacent roadway. The signal may appear to be waiting for a non-present pedestrian to cross but is actually staying green to allow vehicles on the roadway to pass through the intersection. The green time is extended on the roadway for the heaver direction during peak traffic times to increase the number of cars that pass through the intersection without having to stop.
We will watch the Eastbound left but this is a very busy intersection and we are balancing the delays to all movements.

The left turn for east bound traffic at around 2:00 and after during rush hours really needs to be re-looked at. I have seen the green left turn signal go green then go red after like ten seconds and it leaves a long line of vehicles still there in the left lane and there is no west-bound oncoming traffic so something is wrong about this. Maybe having a yellow light flasher would help so left turn vehicles can actually be in the go when it's safe? When this long line of vehicles happens, it backs up onto the main traffic left lane and vehicles can't go straight east side they are blocked it have to go around on the right lane if possible. Not easy when vehicles are passing by that are already in the right lane. Some days it doesn't happen. But when it does, it is something that can be fixed to make it behave properly when needed.
