That building has a parking lot. Maybe they could use that instead.

Its happening all over. Businesses being prioritised over our safety .

I actually suggested to him to use the parking lot, but he said "I don't own it". When I pointed out that he doesn't own the sidewalk either, he said that he was legally allowed to take up the sidewalk. I don't know the legality of that statement, but it doesn't sound right to me.

This is not a health complaint.

Why is this bouncing around to agency and agency. Shouldn't the city actually know where this complaint should be directed without wasting each agencies time?

A business has completely taken over public property, removing it from use for the public and creating a public safety issue forcing pedestrians into an active roadway. This is NOT in compliance with the governor's order or New Jersey Administrative Code or Jersey City municipal ordinances.

Yeah, I don't see how just ignoring this makes sense. Does this mean every business can just take over their sidewalk? What is the point of a sideWALK then?

I get that they are a legit business, and they're in a tough spot, but could they train in some of the mostly empty parking lots that the city owns, like the lot behind city hall? School parking lots? Parks? I feel like there's some compromises that exist that that city can help come up with that doesn't involve moms and strollers being forced to walk into the street....
