Just attended a community meeting on 3/30/16 in which SHA discussed this intersection. BW Pkwy cloverleaf will disappear, bridge height will be raised, and exit ramps will have lights to control traffic flow. The new Shannon Elms apartment/townhouse complex is responsible for widening 175 as well. (I heard 'bike lanes' were included, but as you know those often conveniently disappear from the budget.) The big delay is that BG&E has to move a huge line near intersection which will take 3 years from last year (2015) therefore don't expect to see any type of road/interchange progress until 2018 on this intersection, plus add the the lengthy time usual Maryland construction takes, and maybe it will be safer by 2021.
