WHo thinks SEPTA cares about such issues? Let's vote. I do not think SEPTA cares. That is why this condition continues and why it does not shovel snow.

The sidewalk has recently been partially cleared (again) by a volunteer member of the Bike Coalition. But this issue should not be closed – the city needs to completely clean up the sidewalk.

With the closing of the Kelly Drive sidewalk path, this area has become even more dangerous. To add insult to injury (and there will be injuries), the traffic lights at Ridge and Main have frequently been flashing red, but most motor vehicles have been proceeding right through the flashing red without stopping. Pedestrians trying to cross Ridge are out of luck!

and to make matters worse, the sidewalk has sunk. the sidewalk is the same height as the road. This makes it easy for drivers to drive on and hit pedestrians and cyclists.

This is a continuing disgrace which reflects the leadership of Philadelphia government. Could the city clean this up before the bike race on Sunday?

This area was cleaned up Saturday morning, before Sunday's bike race, during which hundreds of fans biked and walked on the cleared sidewalk. Even with the vegetation cut back, it is still very dangerous for pedestrians. The job was done by a volunteer member of the Bike Coalition - NO THANKS TO MAYOR NUTTER, COUNCILMAN JONES, PHILLY STREETS DEPT. OR PHILLY 311.

this is not good enough. still NOT fixed. needs 2 or 3 more feet cleared.

what is dad is that a front-end loader could fix this in 2 hours, at most.

01/17/2016 – it's years later and the danger to pedestrians still exists. Last fall, some of the vegetation on the hill was cleared off, but the sidewalk was never touched. A volunteer from the biking community celebrated MLK Jr. Day early by trying to clear off the sidewalk.

Will it take a pedestrian fatality to finally address this problem?
