The message it sends is about to get truly deadly as schools and universities reopen, and cold and flu season begins. I am outraged by the insult these officers (there are many) offer to the governor and the Department of Health, and the law.

Also- Mask Fascist? I suppose seat belts are fascist too? Ever heard of the public health? We wear masks to protect *others* even more than to protect ourselves. It's called being a member of a society.

It is fine, the police where just protesting.

I am interested in finding out HOW this problem has been resolved. I am concerned because this is the 3rd time someone has reported that the police in different parts of Cambridge have not been wearing face masks. It is essential for the safety of the community that the police set an example of following the recommendations of both the medical community and that mask wearing is the law.

Police Commissioner Bard today (8/17/20) announced that effective immediately all CPD personnel are required to wear a face covering at all times when in public (which builds off of the previous order which did not require them to if/when they were able to maintain a safe, social distance of 6 feet or more). If there are future concerns or residents want to file a complaint against an Officer, they are accepted from any source, whether made in person (125 Sixth St.), by mail, or over the phone (617-349-3384).
