The problem is that it's not always possible to get police car numbers when they whiz by, especially when you're not expecting it (i.e. when they should be stopped at a light in accordance with the law). Incidentally, I've seen USPS delivery trucks run red lights at this intersection too, most recently last week.

Sounds like a good place for a traffic officer.
