Why do you say there is no hazard found? I spoke with a maintenance guy from the Buffalo Bayou conservancy and he said he has been talking to his boss to get it fixed as well. It is not on conservancy land, it is the sidewalk on Travis St. there used to be a steel plate over the gap, but it has come off leaving a large gap and bolts sticking up. If you cannot find it when you are out in the field, call me. I live across the street and I walk over this almost every day. You need to get out of your truck and walk on the sidewalk. If it isn’t an issue you would not have had a plate covering it previously. Someone is going to either trip while walking or get a bicycle tire caught and it is possible someone will fall into the street where a car will hit him/her as the traffic in that area goes over the speed limit as they think it is the on ramp for I-45. When someone gets hurt, I am offering up the numerous times I have submitted this issue and the city will lose a lawsuit. You know it is a problem. Stop saying you can’t find anything wrong. Get out of your truck and look.
