Although it may be visible when you are leaving the BJ's parking lot, this prohibited right turn sign is intended for vehicles traveling SB on Newbury Street prohibiting a right turn into the BJ's parking lot. We will have a technician head out there when scheduling permits to see if the angle of the sign can better face Newbury Street traffic.

It is not just visible, it is perpendicular to your line of sight and may not be seen well from Newbury.. Putting it where it belongs should resolve the problem.

When I checked street view yesterday there was only a No Right Turn sign in the span wires of the traffic signals. This is the sign I though you were referring too. I was able to get to this site today and noticed there was also a No Right Turn sign across the street below the street sign. You are correct in that this sign should be a No Left Turn sign. The highway department has been notified and a correction should be made in the near future. I apologize for the confusion.

Thanks, it shows how much attention was paid to the sign. Most, myself included, probably didn't pay any attention to it and certainly disregarded the message even when I did finally notice it.
