Description
My car was broken into apparently between 12 - 4:30 pm today (8/20). Nothing of value in car to be stolen. I have been told by a neighbor that there have been several of break-ins lately, all smashing the small rear vent window. Police say that without anything being stolen or a camera they won't do any investigation.

Sorry, Pterman. My last posted comment was not very descriptive. Here are the details. If there are 𝙖𝙣𝙮 items which are visible from outside the car, that's the cue for criminals to break in to see if there's anything else which might be valuable. Even if the visible item is just a hat, T-shirt, coffee mug, magazine or anything else, those items are triggers for criminals.
Statistically speaking, if there are any items that are visible, it is more likely that there might be something else of value in the car more often than cars that have nothing visible. In the picture included with this reported issue, it looks like there is a cloth item draped over the child's seat. So, either that cloth item or the child's seat was the trigger.
