Give the city a break. That was a heavy snow and they had a large number of streets to plow. I almost got stuck in my cul-de-sac but I'm not complaining. With that kind of snow, people shouldn't have been out on the roads anyway.

I really think that the plow dispatchers don't organize which roads are handled by which trucks. It's just a free-for-all and then small roads and cul de sacs get forgotten. Bauer Lane is our street and it rarely gets done until it's an afterthought or "oops" situation.

I think Mentor is doing a horrble job with the roads this year. Our street was only 1 1/2 lanes and it is a main side street. Snow was plowed iton the intersection of our street and 615 and never removed. Turning on to and off of it was redused to two tire tracks. Never saw a plow Saturday either. Near where I work (also Mentor) was never touched. Even semi's were getting stuck. Sorry Mentor but I think you have failed this year.

I live on Chase Drive, the plow came down the street Friday morning, that was it. We could barely get down our street for 2 days, I called on Saturday afternoon, someone was supposed to come, no one ever did.

My street was so bad, the mailman could not even deliver. Thats right - neither rain nor snow nor dark of night... but don't plow and you stop the USPS.

Have you heard the cost of rock salt, and overtime? Absent another TAX increase on the lucky 90% that are working, maybe you should look to the Obama Motor Company and buy a huge four wheel drive vehicle and plow your street yourself. That wan meant as a joke, but maybe some samaritans can help keep your street passable.

Doesn't matter that snow season is over. Mentor needs to respond to these complaints.

Enough already, snow season is long gone and if you want a response from Mentor, go to the council meetings. You'll be more likely to get an answer there than on a newspaper blog forum.
