Hi Gil... it is imperative that when you report a power outage that you not report it on SCF.

Yes I do tell others the same thing. When we had our own SCF platform we actually had a selection for Power Outages and anyone who clicked on it would get a message NOT to report it there but to call. The reason is that we like to talk to everyone who reports a problem so that we can ask questions that may help us locate the problem quicker. We are now back on board with DPW and in the process of setting up our own categories through them. The Power Outage option will once again appear and it will say, "Please do not report an outage here". Customer information is very important to us, particularly if they heard an explosion or saw a flash. Also, our Automated Metering System is pretty advanced. If you have a Smart Meter we get a notification immediately and respond accordingly, even without the customer calling in.
