Description
Since a utility built up retaining walls on the NE corner of Recker and Ray the view of EB Ray Rd traffic is restricted for the SB Recker traffic. These walls are a hazard and an accident just waiting to happen We have too many red light runners to begin with and this corner doesn't help. Look at virtually every intersection in the city. There is some clear line of sight in all directions.
The engineer that approved these walls should be looking for a new job! Terrible design and decision. A 3' wall with wrought iron fencing extend up 5-6' would be a better design.

Regarding the fenced Utility that has been long standing with no options to relocate.
The No Turn on Red restriction was placed for added safety to the intersection. Any disregard for a traffic signal or traffic control sign is an enforcement issue.
We have notified Gilbert PD to request some enforcement at this location.
