As a resident of Tallulah, I can confirm that this happens. Too late now, but it sure would've been nice if the 'authorities' had not approved removal of vritually all the trees and other living plant life which prior to the over development of Tallulah, did a respectable job of controlling run-off. If corrective measures need to be taken that are going to cost the City (and subsequently its taxpayers) money, I'd like to see you pursue the developers who simply had to see this coming. I feel very bad for the folks downstream. Not only is there water, but also a fair amount of soil/mud that runs off, too.

Just wanted to add a few pictures to show the issue a little better. These were taken from our driveway at 1004 Brookhaven Walk NE. You can see how the street turns into a semi river during rain and how the storm drain on our side of the street doesn't even seem to be taking all of the water (even though this was not a very heavy downpour)(see red circle in picture) this worries me for the homes further down Brookhaven Walk, in case of a very significant rainfall for a lengthy period of time. The main issue here has been present for a while and it is the fact that during a storm you can follow the water flow from the top of Osborne (by Peachtree), it flows down Osborne on the right hand side of the road and then exactly by the upper Brookhaven Walk entrance it crosses over and rushes down our street. The only solutions I can think of would be to have a drain put in that stretches across our street as Pelly Circle NE has it (one neighborhood over) or to somehow change the way Osborne Road's bend makes the water flow down here.

Yes. As a homeowner on Brookhaven Walk,I totally agree that this is a severe problem that needs to be corrected. The amount of water is way above any normal runoff. It was clearly not engineered properly. In addition to the problem for surrounding homeowners, it is a dangerous traffic hazard for all traffic on Osborne Road during heavy rains and surely is not within normal safety standards/code. Thank you for your conscientious attention to this prolonged problem.

The flooding is extreme and should be flowing into the sewer drain. We will take a look at your street to determine what exactly is the problem.

Yes, this is a serious issue for Brookhaven Walk. I am at 1010 Brookhaven Walk and we are one house after the storm drain. One would assume that the run off would not be that bad beyond the drain, but the amount and speed of water coming down Brookhaven Walk is too much for any drain to handle. During moderate rain, the entire street looks like the pictures posted above by Brad.
