Description

The statue was created in 1892 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Columbus's arrival in the Americas. I am so confused how Bridgeport CT is not understanding that This man's statue needs to be gone and placed in a museum: Much of the land that became Bridgeport was originally occupied by the Pequonnock Indians of the Paugussett nation. One village consisted of about five or six hundred inhabitants in approximately 150 lodgings.
