Description
East Rock parking lot. For as long as I have been going to East Rock Park I have always had my first moments intruded upon by men sitting in their cars , craning their necks at anyone driving in and parking in the lot , hoping you will be like them , looking for sex. Each time I drive in, it's in anticipation of a nice peaceful walk with my dog. I forget each time , until I pull in and see that a number of the cars parked are men , like vulture waiting waiting waiting to hook up either their in their vehicles or walk up a short path directly up from the public lot. I have over the years why this has been allowed.Surely the Parks and Rec of New haven know of this , and surely the police do as well. It seems to be another issue in the city that is wanted to be ignored. I hate being exposed to it... I hate being scanned by vultures eveytime I park there...up to 3 times a week, I hate that subject matter forced into my head at the start of each and every walk. But now with covid the men have taken to setting up their lawn chairs right above the lot . They are there in the woods a couple hundred yards away. And if you haven't learned that hat is "their space for sex you may very well take that PUBLIC trail your self , as I did years ago, As local dog owner did recently and I and to explain to never take that trail again. They are in the woods , they are in the parking lot , they are NOW in your face hanging out in their lawn chairs ., with impunity

1 Are responsible in dealing with such situations.
2. Will do something about it.
I agree with you , it's a turned eye for years and years....by the police , the Park and rec (?)
I hope someone here can contribute proper contact info.
I was moved to post because of this blatant step taken now this year ( setting up lawn chairs) irks me to no end ... and every day that I am there.

My last comment was blocked because I forgot to veil the words that are blocked by the SeeClickFix content filters. Let's try again:
This reported issue is hom*phobic. Please read the issue again and replace the words denoting males with words denoting females. How does it look now?
The only illegal activity in this reported issue is the allusion that there are people having s*x in the park; however, the complainant tries to veil that with other baseless reasons. There is nothing wrong with people sitting in lawn chairs, sitting on park benches, sitting in their cars or even just looking at people. Heck, I look at lots of people every day. That's because I'm alive and I'm a social creature.
Okay, so there are people having s*x outside. I'm pretty sure that's been a part of our species for about a million years. It is blatantly obvious, the person who reported this issue finds it repulsive that g*y dudes have chosen East Rock Park as their hook-up spot, but the complainant doesn't directly state that because of the fear of being exposed as hom*phobic.
That's why the complainant is trying to use different reasons to express his or her discomfort. This is one of the most transparent issues I've ever seen reported.

Uh-oh, are there men sitting in chairs in a public park again, and are they looking at people? (𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘮 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥) Keep this issue open if you would like, but please keep in mind, if no laws are being broken, this reported issue is fruitless.
Also, posting pictures of people online accompanied with accusations that they're criminals is illegal. Please take a moment and try to put this into perspective.
Imagine if one day, you went to a park to walk your dog. After returning home, one of your friends calls you and tells you someone posted a picture of you online. You go online and discover your friend was right. You see a picture of you and your dog, and under the picture are words accusing you of being a criminal. How would that make you feel?

Active citizen,
Thanks so much for your comment. I also hope to keep this issue open. I'm not going to let innocent people have their personal reputations tarnished by folks who rely on their gut feelings. The dudes at East Rock are not breaking any laws. Please DO NOT forget about our laws protecting people against slander. When you get a chance, please read through everything you've already posted here and reflect on your past comments. Documented comments exist forever and ever and ever.

Hello anonymous,
You opened this issue 2 years, 9 months, and 20 days ago. I'm doing you a favor by closing it. There is nothing wrong with people sitting in a park; even if you don't like the way they look at you.
Please try to imagine how you would feel if someone tried to criminalize your innocent activities.
Also, please share your complaint with your friends and relatives, and then, please listen to their feedback.
I hope this information helps.
