It doesn't matter where someone lives. What matters is that this is a violation of the noise ordinance and is therefore against the law.

I agree- your snarkiness is not appreciated. Those of us who live downtown know we are subjected to certain noises that you suburbians don't have to deal with- but leaf blowing, garbage bin emptying, and jackhammering to name a few should not be done that early in the morning. There are noise ordinances for late at night- if there aren't for early morning there should be. Please city officials- ask the maintenance folks to have some consideration for the residents too. We have notified the Downtown District Station of this issue. Since SCF is not monitored at all times, Raleigh Police requests that noise violations be called into 919-831-6311 so an officer can be dispatched as the violation is occuring and necessary action can be taken. Thanks.
