OVER TWO YEARS AGO... The huge overgrown dangerous Swamp Maple was removed after a massive limb fell onto adjacent properties causing significant damage. The City stated that it was, "AN ACT OF GOD". In other words, TUFF LUCK SCHMUCKS. In typical fashion, rather than actively monitoring many unaddressed issues around the City, including ZONING VIOLATIONS, the city passively neglects them. So residents "wear" these ugly reminders of poor city services rendered for their tax dollars.
Two other massive trees remain towering over the adjacent properties on Beacon Court despite numerous requests by concerned residents. These are potentially DEADLY ACCIDENTS WAITING TO HAPPEN. The City is passively littered with stumps because "City Tree" (half-a*#!) removals are never completely finished.
Thank you for reporting your issue to the City of Bridgeport. FYI The large stump is located past the City right away mark in which homeowners are responsible of such. The City provided the removal at the time due to the fact that that it was blocking the road. Any questions or concerns please contact the Parks Department at 203-576-7233. Your issue is now closed.

Too bad, Chief Perez now has a real excuse for not answering his phone.
