Today, we suddenly noted that the bathrooms in our home were overflowing with foul-smelling sewer water. We realized sewer work was taking place outside and went out to discuss with the DPW workers. They were confused as to why this was a problem and said they'd completed their work.

In future -- advance notice that sewer work that causes backflow into homes would be useful.
