saw teh small section of brick repaired (although no stone dust in between the bricks so not sure how they will stay in place). however, it's the whole stretch of sidewalk from Cambridge St to the city line on Oak Street that has trip hazards from changes in surfaces, or settling from surface to surface. is the city planning to replace this stretch of sidewalk or not? (asphalt and exposed brick by the post office, asphalt, some concrete, several concrete sections all cracked and failing, asphalt, brick.....

Just wondering if this sidewalk from Cambridge St to the city line on Oak St has been put on the list for replacement once the weather is better. There are significant changes in elevation from one material to another ( brick to asphalt to concrete etc).

Sidewalks and roadway will be redone from Cambridge St to City line as part of the Inman Sq project.

Thank you for reporting your concerns. The location you have reported lies within an area currently prioritized for reconstruction as shown in the City’s Five Year Street and Sidewalk Plan. The plan is available at www.cambridgema.gov/theworks/fiveyearplan and is updated annually based on the City’s utility projects, pavement management system, sidewalk condition assessment, coordination with utility companies, priorities from the Disabilities Commission, Bicycle Committee and Pedestrian Committee, and requests from residents to prioritize locations. We update the 5 Year Plan annually to make sure we are accurately prioritizing streets for inclusion therefore it’s always subject to change.
