Why is this closed? The rack still hasn't been replaced.

Hey, just checking in on this. We are now 27 months out from my original submission date, and we have exactly zero bike parking on Springfield St. Both spots by Pita are gone, and the 3 spots around the corner from 1369 were removed and never replaced. Is there a plan to address this?

There will be 3 bike rings installed on the west sidewalk of Springfield St as part of the Inman project. Now that the sidewalk is mostly complete in this area, we will see if some, if not all, of them can be installed sooner rather than later.

Thanks for following up. Does this mean the 3 racks on the East side are permanently removed? We're going from 5 spots to 3?

Sorry - I meant to mention also: there will be several on the east side as well.

No problem. There will be 39 bike rings total in the project area, and 5 parabolic style racks in the plaza areas.

Hey, just following up on this - there was one ring installed on this side of the street, but not at the location indicated in my post (the one in front of Pita). Is this location going to be addressed, too?

Hi - sorry we are waiting until the sidewalk is completed all the way down to the corner before we put the bike rings on that side. Waiting for an old utility pole to be removed, then can finish the concrete sidewalk, then can install the bike rings.

Sorry - we are still waiting for the admittedly lengthy process of removing the old utility pole to be completed. So as of now, there is one bike ring on the Pita side of the street, and 3 rings across on the 1369 Coffee side. There will be two more rings planned for the Pita side, but more towards the corner with Cambridge. Not directly in front of Pita. The one that's there now is the "northernmost" of the eventual 3.

Ah yeah, I know how it can be with those utility poles. It'll be great to have 3 rings on the other side, and makes sense to have them easy to find from the intersection. Thanks again!
