Description

This intersection and other intersection on the other side of the freeway requires a traffic light for the safety of all drivers, because it has always been completely unsafe here. Cars almost having accidents every minute. This is the busiest and most uncontrolled intersection I think in all of California maybe even the United States, yet it has Zero traffic lights.

You have cars, people, driving across train tracks on Gilman right down the road to and from Berkeley, driving to and from a side road next to the freeway called Eastshore Hwy from businesses and Target, driving to and from another side road on the other side of the freeway called W. Frontage Rd., you have cars driving to the racetrack nearby, and to and from another private road near the end of Gilman, you also have cars getting mostly off the freeway from the north onto Gilman which is constantly backed up, you have cars going off the freeway onto Gilman from the South, and you have cars constantly being gridlocked and at a standstill afraid to even venture onto the road because cars are recklessly slamming on their gas flying through, or people sit in the middle of the road waiting for cars to go, turning from Gilman into one of these 6 different roads, there are even blindspots around the bridge that you can't even see the oncoming speeding traffic until your car is in the middle of the other roads right lane when you're coming off the freeway, and also, gobs of homeless all over the insides of the underpass, constantly panhandling, constantly walking across the street or biking rapidly across without any crosswalk sign, and the place smells like human feces because that's exactly what it is. I'm surprised I don't hear about traffic related deaths at these two intersections.

You people need to listen up because this is really serious, I am in fear of my life venturing any where near these roads at any time on any day. Stop signs do not stop cars from barreling into the intersections. You have people walking across these roadways at the same time. You have massive trucks going through here as well, as well as Train Tracks. You either need to cut off roads from access, or you need to place an intricate traffic light system there. Rush hour is not when this happens, it happens at any time of day, worst between 10 am and 4 pm.

Just look at any digital maps online and you will see the cars piling up even at that moment the maps car was photographing.

PUT TRAFFIC LIGHTS THERE. TWO INTERSECTIONS.
