The Village of Algonquin has resolved this issue.

I think it is going to get worst in the winter when it snows. somebody will probably trip on it when it cracks more. I do not think it would last to next year. I think it should be fixed this year not next. Put a barrier there or something i know it would be dangerous .If someone gets hurt I am responsible.

as you can see in the attached photos there is a crack but at this time there is nothing that can be done. We will keep an eye on this, there is an open work order.
