Agree. This is a public health issue. Dozens of patients are lining up for Covid testing on the narrow sidewalk. The urgent care should route them through the parking lot and the back door.

Hard to imagine what people needing urgent care could do instead...

I cross the street to avoid such situations. They can't, or they'd lose their place in line.

@Tom Walsh - I think that's the best idea. They have a big parking lot in the back and the Urgent Care Center could use a rear entrance.

I think Care well could do a much better job of organizing their patients ( clients)... i will NEVER use them after seeing this daily chaos. They should set up a stanchioned line with 6ft markers in their very ample parking lot. And wish the City would deal with this once and for all

Could someone at The City let us know how to escalate. This has gone on for months (actually worse now than in June) and The City could force CareWell to take any of the simple changes (online scheduling vs. first come first serve, enter through back door, line stops when the parking lot is full, etc.) At $160 per test, they are pulling in over $20,000 a day, 7 days a week.

@Mary - they only see sick people about 12 to 18 hours a week now, it's all about rapid Covid test.

Even though they are now using the back door and starting the line in their parking lot, they are still overflowing onto Antrim Street from 138 down to 132 every single day. CareWell could spend the money on online scheduling (blocks of time vs. first come, first serve until they run out of test). They are getting $160 per person for over 100 people a day, 7 days a week ($112,000 per week) - no MDs on site.
