Description

This intersection is being used as a cut-through to avoid traffic on Main st. & Medford street. There are 3 stop signs, 5 roads & 4 one ways. It's quite abnormal and makes it confusing (I've seen several people drive the wrong way down all of the one ways). The intersection of Bell Rock and Converse gets congested and not all the drivers stop at the stop sign. The worst offenders are usually coming from the south up Bell Rock because it's a long stretch of road. A few weeks ago I was out in my yard and a driver hit a dog in the crosswalk while the dogwalker was still holding the leash (my husband tweeted the mayor about it on twitter). Would be great if we had a traffic officer come out here once a week and check on it, but also a 3 way stop sign at Perkins and Bell Rock could also help reduce the speeding up the road. I also don't think it helps that Everett has the speed limit at 30 further down the road.
